Knysna Montessori School is situated on the outskirts of Knysna, in a quiet suburb, at the end of a road.

Fresh air and open spaces offer our children the opportunity to ride their bikes and walk about.

The school building consists of 10 classrooms – all minimum 25 m² with maximum 20 students.

We have on-site sporting facilities, including a soccer field, tennis courts and a 25 m pool.

Our hall meetings take place in a lovely indoor amphitheatre, which seats 198 people. This facilities has great acoustics, wooden floor, foyer, and kitchenette – and is available to the public.

The Hub is a Montessori outdoor classroom and entrepreneurial adventure centre for the middle school. The 12-15 year group run their micro businesses from The Hub – selling their goods to parents, business and at the Friday Market. A visit by the preschool is always a great adventure.

Our boarding facilities can accommodate 32 high school children in 10 rooms.

Boys and girls are housed in separate wings. The boarding house cooks healthy meals for the entire school and staff members, which can be enjoyed at a small additional cost, if parents wish to not pack lunchboxes.

The Friday Market is our biggest fundraising project. The market is open to the public – every Friday 16:00 – 20:00 – from September to June. Food stalls, live music and large fires attract young and old. The market is right next to the school and sports field and the facility is also used for school purposes.
